Since January of this year, I have been asked the same question over and over, “Can you make a living” from doing this?” so many times in fact that I decided to create this blog.   My answer is always the same, “Some days are better than others”.  What in gods name does that mean, you may ask?  Well… Since January of this year I decided to become a full time Storage, Surplus and Estate Auction hunter and though my journeys have been met with much success and adventure, they have also been met with some long days and rocky roads. The simple answer is a resounding, “Yes”. 

This blog will be mainly about my adventures and stories of what I find, how I sell what I get as well as a little strategy. I operate my small business out of the Seattle, WA area and travel from Portland to Bellingham in search of my treasure, so perhaps we can meet up some day for a cup of coffee as we wait for the auctioneer to crack the lock or bring out the boxes. Not in Seattle, no problem, as I believe my journeys are universal in nature.

What I hope to share with you is both the good and bad side of what I do and introduce photos and video of what I find. I am not a supplier of storage auction lists nor do I have the preverbal crystal ball to tell you what and where the, “Big One” is going to land in your home town. I can however share with you some of the joy and excitement of find some great items to resell on and off line and make some good money.
